C204 chipset disables e3 12x5's iGPU

Hi all, thanks a lot for providing such a fantastic NAS killer guide. It helps me a lot.

I recently just built my first NAS with fractal design Node 804, supermicro x9scm-f and e3 1265L v2. But I found that iGPU is not detected in unraid:

After researching, I found in the mobo’s spec page: Supermicro | Products | Motherboards | Xeon® Boards | X9SCM-F,

  1. Intel E3-12x5 series processors which have integrated graphics support are not recommended.

I guess it’s the reason that the iGPU is not detected? I was wondering if anyone has working case with C202/C204 mobo and E3 12x5?

This is expected behavior. What is your concern with the iGPU being disabled?

I thought it could be used as my transcoding machine. But if it’s expected, I hope future builders can know this in advance.

We do not recommend using the NAS Killer 4.0 for transcoding, as it falls well below the minimum recommendations.

Reference the CPU generations in the Quicksync Transcoding guide.
