Will the Adaptec ASR-71605 16-Port be a fit for me

I have create a PLEX server for my movies using a home build PC with Windows 11 Pro. I’m currently looking to add more storage and wanted more flexiblity and to be able to buy SAS drives. I don’t want to use RAID so just the the hard drives appear in windows.

Is the Adaptec ASR-71605 16-Port be a fit for me? I’m looking at things like https://www.ebay.de/itm/126505264842

  1. Does it support HBA IT-Mode out the box?
  2. Will it work with newer hard drives like the EXOX X12 SAS and up to EXOS X20 20TB?
