NSFW Anniversary Build 1.0 (Better late than never)

Hi everyone! I am sure you have seen multiple posts on the first anniversary build and are probably not even amused by version 2.0. I know it’s late but I still wanted to participate and contribute to this amazing community. Thank you so much to everyone that helped (too many to name) but especially to JDM WAAAT and his team for the idiot proof guides, videos and more. I have built some gaming rigs in the past but I had never fooled around with enterprise gear.

I bought all my parts in June 2019, right about the time when the cards jumped from $175 to $240 and later ran out ( and yes, I paid $240 but I guess it is better than not getting one at all). The components are as follows:

A B C D E
1 Part Model Quantity Price Total
2 Motherboard GA-7PESH2 1 $240.00 $240.00
3 CPU E5-2667 2 $34.00 $68.00
4 RAM Elpida 16GB 1333MHz ECC RDIMM 2 $20.00 $40.00
5 Case Rosewill RSV-L4500 4U 1 $109.99 $109.99
6 PDU EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ 1 $53.74 $53.74
7 HDs WD Elements Desktop 10TB 2 $161.24 $322.48
8 SSD Silicon Power 256GB SSD 1 $28.99 $28.99
9 Coolers ARCTIC Freezer 33 2 $29.99 $59.98
10 GELID GC-Extreme 3.5g 1 $14.99 $14.99
11 Mini SAS to SATA 1 $6.99 $6.99
12 Unraid Basic License 1 $59.00 $59.00
13
14 Total $1,004.16

This price does not include the price of the 8TB drive since I had it from before. I currently have a 8TB and 2x10TB drives (one of these is being used as parity and the SSD as a cash drive). All bought as “shuckable drives” during sale events.

Currently I am running a few docker containers with the usual media consumption apps (Plex, etc), home automation, Pi Hole, a few VMs, and using it as media storage. My SO and I are starting a home improvement channel and need a place to store all the media.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Again thank you to everyone that helped and have a great 2020.
