Goal:
My main goal is to update the original NAS Killer 1.0 build to something more powerful that can utilize SAS drives. I use the system mainly for Plex but would like the option to do very basic VM stuff for fun but don’t plan to do anything too serious. I figured the lego build would be a good fit for my plans.
Planned Parts:
For the most part I just followed the guide online when searching for the required parts, but since some of the links have been sold out I wanted to verify that the parts I found were all compatible. I’ve never used SAS drives so I’m not sure if the controller, cables, and drives will work together and if I can use them with the SATA drives I already have. Thanks in advance and thanks for a great community!
