HP SLIM S01-PF1013W C-PORT SPOT ON MOBO

IN ORIGINAL OWNERS REVIEW 5 YRS AGO THE USB-C SPOT ON MOBO WAS MENTIONED BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY POSTS WHERE ANYONE ACTUALLY SOLDERED C PORT TO MOBO. WOULD IT WORK? MY NVME IS GEN 4 BUT CRYSTAL DISK AND OTHER POSTS REPORT MOBO ONLY SUPPORTS GEN 3 FOR NVME, THAT IS. SO WOULD SOLDERING ON A C PORT TO MOBO ALLOW ANY HIGHER SPEEDS OR IS IT LIMITED WHICH IS WHY THEY NEVER UTILIZED AND WHY THE INITIAL WRITE-UP(WHICH I STILL REFER TO!)DID NOT MENTION DOING IT.

We would not recommend trying to solder a USB-C port onto the motherboard. It is not a trivial solder job and probably requires other components to also be added which we do not know about. The USB-C port also has nothing to do with NVME SSD speed. The speeds are dictated by several components, primarily the CPU, which only supports PCIe 3.0.
