If anyone else bought that recent deal on this laptop, I made a short video to explain how to remove the bottom cover. I didn’t find anything on YT for this specifically.

Just replacing the SSD. It’s back up and running like a champ now! The screen is super nice.

I’d recommend replacing the thermal paste with GC extreme, it makes a huge difference on all laptops. I found that the HP’s fan was turning on too often, it was reduced significantly after I swapped thermal paste.
