How to get Seagate drives to show as SG instead of DA?

I have 32 seagate constellation 3TB sas2 drives that need firmware. When connected via IT mode card, they show as DA instead of SG.

Here is the syntax of the firmware tool:

dl_sea_fw {-m <model_number> -f <fw_file> | -c <cfs_file>} [-d <sg_device>]

There is no ability to update a device showing as DA[0-9]

How can I configure sas2008 card so the drives show as SCSI drives ( SG[0-9] )
so that the firmware tool will work?

I used windows seatool, very slow but worked. Support was deprecated on linux
