I currently am using the first two mini-SAS ports to breakout to 4 x SATA drives each (8 drives total). I’ve added 4 more drives to my server and bought a third cable that does mini-SAS to SATA (SFF-8087), however those drives aren’t being detected now that I’ve started everything up again. The drives are on, but my OS can’t seem to find them (Ubuntu 22.04). Is that third mini-SAS just like the other two, or is it different somehow?
I believe I have covered this in the guide. The third port is not SAS, it’s SATA.
