Does this build look reasonable / compatible?

Looking to build a new server to upgrade from my existing i7 920, 24GB ram build. I’ll be using my existing DDR3 RAM sticks (42GB worth), existing drives. The rest should be in this list.

Part Price Quantity Total
Supermicro-X9DRI-F-O 187.99 1 187.99
E5-2643v2 94.99 2 189.98
Rosewill RSV-L4500 119.99 1 119.99
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G1+ 750W 80 Plus 114.96 1 114.96
Noctua NF-A12x25 29.99 3 89.97
Noctua NF-A8 PWM 15.95 2 31.9
EVGA CLC 120mm AIO CPU Liquid Cooler 53.99 2 107.98

Total: ~$850

Looks quite expensive. You should wait until the Anniversary 2.0 guide is out.

You’re not going to need Noctua fans. The arctics are mighty quiet. Also the EVGA CLCs are overkill for those Xeons. Is the DDR3 RAM that you have ECC? If not, you’re going to want ECC.

That, and the EVGA CLC’s do not fit narrow ILM.

Wow… is this being listed anywhere yet?
