First time asking a question. I would like to know if I can connect SAS HDD to an LSI onboard controller with sata like connectors and how? What connectors to use?

You have two options, you could either use this cable with a SAS connector on the end, or this adapter with a regular SATA cable. Either one takes a standard SATA power connector. Or, if you’re connecting your motherboard to a SAS backplane, you will want a reverse breakout cable like this to connect the backplane to the 4 SATA connectors on your motherboard.
