The purpose of this build was to consolidate a few devices.

  1. My daily drivers (Windows (Gaming), Linux, MacOSX)
  2. Storage (NAS)
  3. Docker Containers

Note: Pics don’t include the GTX 1080 because I haven’t figured out how to package it yet.

It was a really great learning experience building this system. Lots of lessons learned and things I might do differently next time. Thank you so much to the Serverbuilds community for all of their support!

Nice build! Curious whether you changed out the stock case fans? If yes, what did you use, and if no, how are the temps/noise levels?

Thanks! I have not changed out the stock fans but I did buy a single Noctua NF-A8 to use for testing as a replacement.

I have it in an enclosed cabinet which I find makes bumps up the average temps a bit.

System temp ≈ 40°C
Drives ≈ 30°C - 35°C

Under normal usage.
