Adding LSI SAS Card Boot loop

I’m doing the NAS Killer Build 4.0. I just got my last parts and I got it to boot off the USB stick. After I put the SAS Controller in the system goes into a boot loop. The fans start and it looks like it is going to boot but before anything loads on the screen the fans stop and then a second or two later they start up again.

I followed this tutorial [Guide] Updating your LSI SAS Controller with a UEFI Motherboard but again when I put the SAS Controller in it keep rebooting.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for anything

My MB is

Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H V1.1

and I’m using
LSI SAS 9210-8i

I got it to work by putting tape on the board covering pins 4 & 5. I followed this guide Yannick's Tech Blog: Modding a Dell Perc 6 / Dell H310 / Dell H710 (other LSI 1078 or 9223-8i based) SAS Raidcontroller

old thread, but FYI it says pins 5 and 6 B SIDE ONLY so dont cover the same pins on the opposite side (A SIDE)
