Thoughts on using this for a pfSense build? Interesting thing about the MB is it has 6 10G etherenet ports. Add a processor, memory, and small SSD and it is still reasonable.
There’s no need for 10Gb on the router/firewall unless you have > 1Gb internet. Is that the case?
Not right now, but might soon, they keep increasing the pipe. My thought was the 10Gb ports might add to it’s useful lifespan. I have one debian server that has been running local web stuff for about 10 years now.
