Great post and feedback! I’m using one of these for a dedicated BlueIris box and wanting to use CodeProject.AI for object detection. Any recommended low-profile GPUs for the AI?

Has anyone noticed either with a latest release of PMS or a Ubuntu update that their quick sync box is struggling? I don’t transcode locally at all so only noticed the issue after a user reported tons of buffering issues. I verified and found that the server is struggling to transcode with quicksync when it used to not even break a sweat. I can’t pinpoint a time when this happened so I’m not sure if it was a PMS upgrade or Ubuntu upgrade but figured I’d post her to see if anyone has any ideas. Below are screenshots of only (2) 1080p streams streaming locally causing the server to struggle.

Are you transcoding audio?

Sorry if I missed this in the thread, but does anyone have a good idea for a cheap KVM to support this? PiKVM in Canada is $340 which is significantly more expensive than what I paid for the SP in the first place. Somehow, my box only hangs when I’m away from the house and can’t quickly reset it. Bloody typical.

Which Coral card did you buy? Does the dual core version work in the wifi slot?

I bought the one from Mouser, link is below. It works more than well enough for my needs. I’m currently feeding 7 RTSP streams to it. Good luck!

Thanks for the update. I currently have a USB Coral device that is being used by Frigate on one of my unRaid boxes.

Hi all, I have this exact PC I bought from Walmart, the HP S01-pF1013w, I know this is an older thread but I’m wondering if anyone knows how to recover from a bad BIOS update? Windows Update downloaded a BIOS update, it looked to go just fine but now all this PC does is turn on for a few seconds, then turn off for a few seconds, then turn on again. It repeats this over and over. Nothing is displayed on the monitor. I’ve tried holding the power button in for 10 to 30 seconds to see if some recovery comes up but nothing.

Thanks!

Did you purchase the specific caddy mentioned here? If so, how did you get it to work? Are you using the AC mode? I’ve tried every combination I can think of but nothing seems to be working, so wanted to ask.

Any CPU cooler recommendations for an i5? SFFs don’t necessarily fit everything, not sure if the stock Celeron cooler will work well

It’s time to upgrade with new one :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey why are these slow with transcoding audio? I suppose QSV is for visual processing only and the audio has to pass through normal CPU processing?

Only time I notice stutter is when audio is transcoding, so I try to pre-transcode those.

It’s possible you may need a CPU upgrade depending on the audio format you’re transcoding.

Anyone managed to fit 2x 3.5 inch drives?

Probably not possible [Official] HP S01-pf1013w Owner's Thread and Review - #81 by Mthrboard

Not practically doable

Would this work ?

The CPU upgrade does not list i5-10500. Only i5-10400. Except for speed they have identical specs. Will i5-10500 work and I just won’t get full speed potential or will it damage something? I have an i5-10500 and an i5-10400F. I have a low profile graphics card in case I must use 10400F.
