Looking for Advice on NK4 Variation

Here is what I have so far. I want to make sure all this looks like it will work well together I kind of had to piece things together with what I could find. Especially worried about the processor being right and whether or not I should add a GPU to help ease the load. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks! I’m going to be using this as a Plex server I own about 2,000 movies I’m looking to have digital streamable versions of. Mostly just me streaming from home/mobile. My budget spread across quite a few months if possible would be $400 with some room for HDD/SSD upgrades in the future.

The motherboard you picked is the wrong socket, you need LGA1155.

The HDD is overpriced… I’m sure you can get something larger for the same price.

The CPU is a third generation Ivy Bridge and will not work on a B365 mainboard - that’s intended for 8th/9th generation CPUs. The B365 mainboard also does use DDR4 memory, but the CPU is only compatible with DDR3 memory. If you’re looking for an NK4 build, stick with the CPU and you’ll need to find a compatible mainboard and RAM.

Would something like this work? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-3020-Intel-Desktop-Motherboard-LGA-1155-Socket-H2-DDR3-040DDP-/174436075163?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

No, Dell motherboards are proprietary…

Have you looked at the main NAS Killer 4.0 guide? There are lots of motherboard suggestions there.

Alright I think I have solved the mobo and ram issues thoughts?

Looks like it should be okay.

Awesome thank you for your help! Happy Thanksgiving!!
