I haven’t had time to mess with these lately. I originally had the pads (Sony XB) attached with double sided tape, which worked fine. They sound great with the pads. They are extremely comfortable and built like tanks. They have an all metal build with real wood and leather. They can be open or closed by removing the magnetic wood circles on the sides.
As pictured, the pads are not glued on but instead are mounted on 3d printed mounting rings… one of the things I was working on with these. The design works, but it’s not permanently attached. Personally, I’d just recommend taking the pads off the rings and using double sided tape.
I’m selling these for a lot less than I have in them (about $400 at this point) - hoping to find them a good home where someone will have the time to enjoy them. They go for $199 new on Amazon without any mods.

Just a note: there are clones of the Sony ear pads, they aren’t as good. These are authentic Sony replacements.
