Anniversary 2.0 Build check

Hey guys, I posted a bit ago with some questions about the NK 4 build and since then I’ve joined the Patreon and done a ton of research.

I’m very close to ordering parts for my build here and just want a sanity check that my parts are compatible.

My goals for the build are to replace my current server/NAS which I’ve bumped up against some compute and memory limits. I use it mainly for storage and Emby streaming, but I also use about 6-10 Docker containers and I want to be able to add a couple VMs as well. So I’ll be moving my current storage to the new build and adding a couple SSDs for cache and VM storage.

I’m open to suggestions on tweaks to this. I went back and forth between the X9DRD-7LN4F-JBOD and the X9DRi-LN4F+ The DRi works for me because I was pretty sure I wanted to go with dual 2667s V1, so that makes the board cheap enough, and between that and the savings on the coolers I can buy an HBA and still make out ahead. Any flaws in my logic? Thanks again for this awesome community and resources!

I don’t think the Mobo - X9DRI-LN4F+ will fit into the Rosewill. I suggest double checking the motherboard form factor, this one’s too big!

Ack! Now I’m glad I checked. I guess I missed the extra E in EEATX. I guess that leaves me with the x9drl-if or one of the narrow ILM ones (Maybe the X9DRH-7F?) It doesn’t need to be silent, as it will be in a utility room, but that room does share a wall with my living room, so I don’t exactly want it screaming.

Update: I ended up going with the X9DRL-if

I used the OBO option and the seller accepted $180
